eBillme: 5% Cash Back on Gift Card Purchases, Today Only

In the past we have told you about a site called eBillme. eBillme is a cross between a payment site (like PayPal) and a cash back site (like Ebates). There are two ways to use eBillme, purchase gift certificates or use it as a payment method on participating sites. Either way, when you use eBillme it’s like using cash on your online purchases. Customers who pay with eBillme do not share any personal financial information, they simply get a bill at the checkout, and pay it using their banks online bill pay service, just like paying a utility bill! Its that easy. And it’s a great way to get cash back!

They have changed their program since I first started using them, now only new customers get higher cash back. Typically repeat eBillme customers can only earn 1% cash back on their gift certificate purchases and new buyers can earn upwards of 10%. But for today only, 12/13, they are offering 5% cash back to everyone! On every gift card purchase! All gift cards are in included in the promo. Tuesday ONLY! They can earn up to $20 on each order. Here are Just some of the gift cards offered: JCPenny, CVS, Old Navy, Lands Ends, Lowes, Zappos.com, Amazon Kindle and more. You are hard pressed to find any deals on gift cards and some of these stores (Zappos, Amazon Kindle) don’t offer cash back via Ebates, so this is a great way to bring down your totals on these sites.

Here’s how it works:

  • Head on over to eBillme and find the gift card you want (will actually come in the form of an e-certificate, to your email)
  • Add the card to you cart and hit pay now. You should then see instructions on how to pay via your bank’s online payment service.
  • After payment clears from your bank, you will receive your e-certificate (note: this whole process take 3-4 days from the time you first choose your card, pay via your bank, clears your bank and then sends your certificate.)
  • Once you reach $10 in cash back you can either use this as a “coupon” toward another e-gift certificate purchase or save it up till you reach $50 and get a check sent to you.

Deals on gift cards are hard to come by, so this site offers a great service. Read more about my experience with using eBillme here and here.
