How to Build a Raised Garden Bed

I’m taking it as a sign! I ran across this video this morning when I was earning Swag Bucks so, much to my husband’s dismay, it’s going on the to-do list for this weekend! Don’t know what Swag Bucks is? Go here for more on that. And by the way, you can get 10 free Swag Bucks if you go to “Earn” Tab at the top of their homepage, and then “Peanut Labs” tab. Click on that and scroll down to Free Home Depot Doing Nation. Click on that, watch a video and sometime today 10 SB will be deposited into your account. Thanks Money Saving Mom for that one!

Any garden tips or suggestions? We love to learn from our readers. What are you planting this season?

I love that you are promoting gardening! Of course it can save you money, but it has so many more far reaching benefits. My kids and I started planting on Tuesday of this week. With three little sets of hands ‘helping’ it’s taking a bit longer, but imagine what they will gain from it. This year we are planting sunflowers, tomatoes, basil, cilantro, mint, carrots, beats, broccoli, lettuce, green beans, watermelon, and cucumbers for both pickling and eating raw.

Kasha, it sounds like you have a greener thumb than I do! I’m hopeful for this season…I guess we’ll see! We’ll keep posting. If you have thoughts, we’d love to run a guest post from you! Like I said, I have a lot to learn. =) (k)
