Trident Layers Gum Giveaway: $45 value!-CLOSED

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.  Thanks so much for participating.  Watch for a post tomorrow announcing the winner!

I know many (my husband included) find it to be a rude habit, but I am a connoisseur of gum!  There are so many great advantages to chewing it!  Keeping your breath fresh, control cravings and snacking, alleviates dry mouth and some even claim to "help fight cavities".  I always have to have a piece of gum when I work out.  Ok, I know some trainers might say it is dangerous, but I get such a dry mouth if I don't have it.  My favorite type of gum is something that is a good balance between sweet and minty.  So I was excited when I got to sample some of Trident's newest Layers flavor, Cool Mint Melon Fresco.  It is just the right combo of fruity sweetness and minty freshness.  And the flavor lasts which is always a plus. Thanks to a rep from Cadbury (yep they produce Trident and Halls too!) now you can win a year's supply! (504 pcs!).  Can't wait to see if you win?!  Head on over to Trident's FB page for a $0.75 coupon.

What are we giving away?
1 winner will receive 36 packs/504 pcs! of Trident Layers Cool Mint Melon Fresco Gum (retail value: approx. $45)

How can you win?
You get up to 4 entries to win.  Please leave a separate comment for each entry:

Super Doubles at KMart Sunday Only

I like what Mercedes from  Common Sense with Money says about this deal, "you decide if this is a treat or trick from Kmart".  I know what Kristy would say! :)

KMart will be doubling  coupons with a face value of up to $2 for one day only, 10/31.  You will be able to double up to five coupons with a $25 purchase.  No more than four like coupons will be doubled per transaction and you will need your Shop Your Way rewards card.  This is good at participating stores only.

I got an email about this on Friday and wasn't going to post about it (since there is so much fine print).  But had to put it out there anyway, let us know if you take advantage of this offer.

Free $3 Amazon MP3 Credit

I saw this deal on a friend's FB status earlier today.  Use the code STUDENT3 to get a FREE $3 Amazon MP3 Credit! Credit is instantly added to your account.

Trick or Treat Traditionalist

Warning: This post will contain a little soapboxing and some flaunting of my cute kids!  :)

The other day I saw a Target commercial for Halloween costumes.  It mildly offended me.  It depicted a mom creating an Iron Man costume for her son (including the big, round push button light Velcroed on his stomach that kept falling off).  The next screen shows a "tricked out" Iron Man costume she could have bought at Target for just $24.99.  Why was I offended?  First, it was implying that "mom-made" costumes are "uncool" or poorly constructed. Second, Once again commercialism has taken away from one of the pure joys of this "holiday", the creativity.  Growing up, my mom NEVER bought our costumes.  Not that we couldn't afford it, it was just more fun to make them.  Honestly I never remembered wishing I had the store bought Punky Brewster or Rainbow Bright, because I always has something no one else did!  And for the most part, most of my friend's costume were "handmade" too. Maybe the creativity aspect doesn't resonate with you, but price sure might.  Take my kids costumes this year.  For the price of that one flashy Target costume, I was able to make all 3 of my kids!  I know making the costumes might not fit within everyone's "giftedness".  But have you ever tried?  You might surprise yourself.  And if you know it is a disaster waiting to happen, buy that flashy Iron Man on the 1st when it is 75% off and save it for next year!

Ok here are the pics!  Not too bad for $25!  (I splurged on the foam cowboy hat for $3.99)
