Kmart Health and Beauty Double Coupon Event- 7/4-7/10

In the past I have been super excited for the Kmart super doubles event. Unfortunately they have really tightened down the terms of the promo. Add to it that my local Kmart's customer service leaves much to be desired. There is still no doubt this is a great savings opportunity.

Kmart has another double coupon event running from 7/4-7/10 at participating locations. They will double coupons up to $2 in value. ($2 coupon= $4! No overages). The limit is 5 coupons per person per day (must use a shop your way card) and this is only on health and beauty items.

You can see a list of participating stores here. (Both Columbus area stores are participating)

Free Entertainment!

It's the July 4th weekend and there is so much to do!  After living in Texas for 7 years I learned that the 4th of July is not the same everywhere.  Here in Central Ohio the 4th is a lot more like Christmas...well, it's 80 degrees instead of 35 degrees and there are no gifts but wow, we are busy!

My family will be hitting 4 different fireworks and more parties/cookouts than we can count.

Did I mention how much I love the 4th of July?  Happy Independence Day Everyone!

Target: Just One Year by Carter’s Clearance

On my Target trip yesterday I found that there was a ton of baby essentials clothes on clearance, specifically the Carter's Just One Year line. Items were 30-50% off. The 3 packs of onesies (pictured) were 50%, only $3.98! Pants ($5.58) and waterproof bibs ($5.58) were 30% off. The onesie/bib/sock isle was filled with red clearance tags. I have 2 baby showers coming up so this was perfect timing. I also bought one extra set of onesies to put in my "gift closet", hard to beat that price and good to have on hand. I was shopping at the Sawmill Rd location, might be good to call your store to be sure they are running the same sale. Pair it with the Johnsons & Johnsons sale and coupon match-ups (MQ and TQ), and you have a great baby git basket started.

Johnson's Toiletries (5-15 oz, select) - $3/ea
Use $1/1 Johnson's Baby Bubble Bath & Wash (FF) or Printable (IE)
Use $2/1 Johnson's Daily Baby Face & Body Lotion with SPF 40 (IE) or Printable (FF)
Use $1/1 Johnson's Baby Bubble Bath & Wash (IE) or Printable (FF)
PLUS
Use $1/2 Johnson's Baby Toiletry or Desitin Item, excludes trial size & Johnson's buddies TARGET Coupon
Final Price =$1.50/ea when you buy 2
There are also smaller 9 oz bottles that run $1.97-2.19 eac, so you could get them for under $1 ea wyb2 with the stacked coupons.

Is Your Stockpile Overflowing?

Money Saving Mom has a great post out right now about what to do with all your surplus in your stockpile. Obviously, one idea is stop buying!! But if you are like me, a free product or one that you get paid to buy is hard to pass up. The first thought is to give it away!! Family, friends, shelters, military etc…. Another idea is to use the items in gift baskets; household cleaning products in a laundry basket for newlyweds, personal care items in a shower caddy for a girl going off to college. But my favorite is the diaper cake! These are so fun to make! And can be a bargain of a gift if you watch your coupons and sale match ups. The one in the picture I made for my sister in law's shower, it was a hit!

What do you do with your surplus?

Play SoBe Heads or Tails Game

I am not one to pay actual money for bottled or flavored water.  That is why I love SoBe products.  They often are on sale BOGO or my favorite is the 10 for $10 + $5 gift card promo at Target.  Right now Sobe is running a promotion called SoBe Heads or Tails Instant Win Game.  Look for the bottles with a black cap, enter the code online and see what you won.  But even if you don't have a cap, you can play once everyday!  Prizes include itunes gift cards, ipod nanos, t-shirts and B1G1 coupons.  Almost every time I have played, I have gotten a buy one get one free printable coupon (bricks- so hit the back button to print a 2nd time!).  The initial coupon limit was 4, but it looks like it has been reset!  The coupons do not expire till 8/31/10 so be on the lookout to score FREE SoBe.  CVS will have them B1G1 next week.  Pair it with the B1G1 coupon and- voila FREE SoBe!

Let us know your favorite flavor (yumberry pomegranate!!) and if you win!

Groupon: 60% off at Aveda Institute

A few weeks ago we told you about a great Groupon deal at Aveda Institute (50% discount).  If you missed it last time (or you want more!).  Today's Groupon deal is a 60% savings at Aveda Institute.  Purchase a $50 gift certificate for only $20!  The certificate is valid for a year, can be used at either Aveda Institute location and must be used all at one time.

Unfamiliar with Aveda Institutie?  A hair cut  is $19, color is $25 and a spa pedicure is $25.  Each service starts with a consultation and complimentary chair massage.  Instructors evaluate the services to insure quality work.

Unfamiliar with Groupon?  Each day a new deal is available.  If enough people sign up for the deal- you can cash in!

What services will you get on your trip to Aveda Institute?

UPDATE:  This is a gift certificate for $50.  The balance does not carry over and therefore needs to be spent THAT day the services are rendered.  Be sure you want to "spend" $50 in services in order to get the best deal.  This would mean you could pair something like a haircut, spa pedicure and an eyebrow wax.  Not bad for $20!

CVS Success! All this for $1.07!

I did my CVS run this morning (probably should have waited till Thursday to see if an e-mail coupon came out- but I couldn't wait!) I did the Schick and Aveeno ECB deals. I was so excited to see some of the shave gels that were not in the ad were included in the deal (as I had good coupons to stack). I could have made a little more if I had bought just the Aveeno shampoo or a different razor. But I am trying to only buy things I "need".  ;)

Aveeno SPF 50 spray (+ bonus cream)- $10.99

(plus $20 ECB to use on next purchase!)

Some people are reporting getting a $ off coupon from the coupon scanner no such luck for me. If it did I would have been doing a dance in the isle! Have you gotten any great deals this week? Let us know!!!

Need a DVD Player???

Check out hhgregg for "DoorBuster Savings" on many great items.  Our favorite was the Compact DVD Player for $9.97 after mail in rebate!  We remember paying $300 for a DVD player way back when!  Now you can get on for under $10.  Also there is a Flash Memory Camcorder and Digital Still Camera for $39.97!
