Kroger Snail Mail List

I have been meaning to write a post about Kroger's awesome snail mail coupons for a while now. Just this week I received a "mymagazine" coupon flyer full of toddler products that reminded me to post. Not only are the Kroger coupons awesome to use at Kroger and their affiliates, many of them can be used at other stores as well. As long as the coupon does not say "store coupon", "redeemable at Kroger" or indicate needing to use your shoppers card; these are Manufactures coupons that can be used anywhere. In fact I have even seen a few that say right on it, can be used at other retailers. Case in point; I was able to use a $3 off Pull-ups coupon, from the above mentioned toddler mailer, at CVS this week.

There are several different types of mailings that come, theme based "my magazines", an envelope with individual coupons, or individual product postcards. Here is an e-mail I received from a Kroger customer service rep:

Thank you for contacting The Kroger Co. Our mailings are based on your spending habits and are generated personally for your household. Our coupons come out quarterly and are strategically based on what you spend and how often you spend. Once your address is updated it can take up to six weeks for you to receive coupons.  Please create an account to join the mailing list.

Also, don't forget to add coupons right on to your Plus card using their digital coupons program  and there is still over a month left in the Summer of Savings instant win game.  Let's go Krogering!

Target Clearance + P&G; Rebate= Excited Shopper!

I know it sounds crazy, but getting good deals is a bit of a rush. After leaving the store with my bags of goodies in hand, I just couldn't wait to share!

I found Venus Breeze and Venus Embrace Summer in a Bag kits on clearance from $9.99 down to $4.98. These kits include one razor, a bottle of Olay Quench lotion and SatinCare shave cream or Olay Ribbons body wash. And all packaged in a cute bag. Not only did my Target allow me to use Venus coupons with them, on two of the bags they allowed me to use 2 other coupons in addition. Add those to some other great P&G and Target stackers and I have enough for my $30 purchase. I plan to keep one bag for myself, keep one to give as a gift, use one as door prize for my MOMS group at church and donate the last one. Sharing my victories is a joy!

Here is the run down:
4 spa kits (included 3 products in each bag)- $4.98 ea.
2 bottles of Pantene- $3.49 ea.
1 Cover Girl nail polish- $3.69 ea.
Total before coupons: $30.59

Coupons used:

FREE McDonald's Fruit Smoothie or Frappe is Back

For some reason I get Parade Magazine in my neighborhood newspaper as well as the Sunday paper.  So I was excited to see another coupon towards a FREE 12oz McCafe Frappe or Fruit Smoothie in this weeks issue.  That makes 4 for me! I tried the wild berry smoothie last night, not the best smoothie I've ever had but it was FREE! Anyone tried the frappé yet?  Does it have a coffee flavor?  I think I will try that next, not a fan of coffee but once again, can't beat free!

Texas A&M; Can't Spare a Square

Okay, I HAD to post this.  Texas A&M in College Station has decided to save $82,000 from it's budget by requiring students to buy their own toilet paper.  $82,000?  Looks like Texas A&M needs to follow 4Our2Cents and find out how to get TP for FREE!!

We've already told you about Marc's and Marcal Toilet Paper.  If you have certain TP standards (totally understandable IMO) check out White Cloud for valuable coupons on TP!  You can even sign up for their coupon club!

If you have a Kroger near by or any grocery part of the Kroger family, log into your account to try your hand at winning one of many prizes.  This was my first try at Kroger Summer of Savings and I won a 20 ounce Coke!  I'm not drinking soda this Summer so my hubby will get the best of this sweepstakes.

$5 off $25 Staples Coupon

If you are like me, you are making your rounds for the best deals on BACK TO SCHOOL!  Yes, it's only July and while we'd like to pretend FALL is not right around the corner, I have to break it to you.  Cooler weather and falling leaves are lurking...ready to strike.

Since we can't fight it, we might as well take advantage of the CRAZY Back to School prices that are out there right now.  I personally have about $25 in Staples Bucks that need to be spent by July 31st so I'll be finishing my Back to School shopping there with this awesome $5 off $25 coupon in hand.

Where is your fave place to shop for Back to School?

Thanks Common Sense With Money!

I'm in LOVE!

Okay, so there is no money saving (or calorie saving!!!) involved here but this looks like the yummiest thing I've ever tasted in my entire life.  I haven't made this recipe but just the picture made me gain 5 pounds!

Are you going to try this recipe?  Please tell us how it turns out!

Free MUSIC!

Do you love Caedmon's Call?  You can trade your email address and zip code for free music!

HIGH VALUE HUGGIES Coupon!!!

Get $2 off Huggies Wipes!!!  This means free wipes at Walmart and other places.  Hold on to it until you find a great deal OR grab some at your local grocery for around 50cents!

Go to www.coupons.com and print 2 coupons for Huggies wipes!

IDEA Paint!

I saw this post at BzzAgent (and if you aren't a BzzAgent yet, go straight to BzzAgent right now and sign up for the latest and greatest samples and Bzz!)

You've got to check out Idea Paint!  It allows you to PAINT on a dry erase board onto your wall!  I was just looking for a calendar for my mudroom.  It was going to cost $99 at Pottery Barn.  I think I can create this board myself with IDEA Paint!  Just think of all the possibilities in your own playroom, kid bedroom or mudroom!

You can sign up for a free sample or use the BzzAgent link for a code bzz101 for 20% off!

Just one of the many reasons I love BzzAgent!

***And for all of our Frugalistas out there who are breaking out into hives over the cost of IdeaPaint, I get it and I can help.  Head on out to your local home improvement store and buy a shower board for $10.  You can have this cut to size right there on the spot then post it to your wall using nails or glue.  When my twins were toddlers we posted 2 4x4 squares on the wall and framed them with molding.  They LOVED it and it only cost $10!  Marc's and Walgreens have EXPO markers on sale for $1.99 right now so have a ball!

***And teachers, that shower board is a GREAT idea for the classroom. When I taught middle school I had 1 board cut into 30 squares, collected some old socks and each student had an individual white board.  We used them to conjugate verbs (Spanish class), do Algebra (tutoring), and other fun learning games.
