Free Sample Pens from Amsterdam Printing

Visit the Amsterdam Printing site and check out their pens.  Click on the "Request a Sample"  link above any pen and you can request a free sample. Money Saving Mom is reporting there is no limit and the pens have to be under $5 a piece.  Seems like once my subtotal (of what the pens would have cost) hit $5 then there was a limit.  I was able to request 5.  If you try this out let us know how many you got?

Saving is Giving

Sometimes savings is giving.  Many of our loyal readers have told us of ways they have been able to give back to their community, school or local food bank as a result of the savings they've seen at the grocery store.  Here is a great way to give some more.  Go to www.target.com/reading to make a pledge to read to a child for 15 minutes.  If you are a mom like us, this isn't a hard pledge to make.  We already do it on a daily basis.  With your 15 minute pledge Target will give a book to a needy child.  What a great way to give back!  Comment below if you make the Target pledge!

Marc's Deals of the Week 9/19

Here are some of the best deals this week at Marc's.  Be on the lookout for a Mail-in Offer Form from Kraft.  Purchase $15 of Participating Kraft food products and get a $5.00 rebate check by mail.  The offer does not include blocks or shreeded cheese, but does include Kraft dressings, Velveeta Mac n' Cheese, Oreos and Wheat Thins to name a few.  Purchase dates are 9/7- 10/10/10.
I take my prices from the Columbus ad which runs Saturday- Friday. In NE Ohio and other locations the ad runs Tuesday-Monday.  I have done my best to cross reference the prices, but some may vary in each region.

Toys R Us Hasbro Games Update

So I couldn't wait to get over to TRU and check out this deal. The free board game is ringing up $0.00 so you have to find a filler (at least 3.03) to make this work with the $5/$25. Also I could not find any of the $4.99 games, but did find a travel Guess Who game that worked with the MQ. Here is what I did:

Bought (1) Sorry and (2) Monopoly Games
$7.99 + $7.99 + $0
Bought Travel Guess Who
$5.99
$3.99 filler
Total= $25.96
Used:
$5/$25 TRU Printable (give this coupon before all the others)
$4 Hasbro Printable Guess Who
(2) $4 Hasbro Monopoly, Life, Sorry, Clue (NO LONGER AVAILABLE)
$4 Hasbro games MQ from Parade Magazine- Sorry/Monopoly
Final total (before tax)= $4.96 for all 5 items!

But when I got home I thought of an even better deal!

Buy (3) Sorry and/or Monopoly Games
$7.99 + $7.99 + $0
Buy (3) Travel Guess Who
$5.99 + $5.00 + $0
Total= $27.96
Use:
$5/$25 TRU Printable (give this coupon before all the others)
(2) $4 Hasbro Printable Guess Who
(2) $4 Hasbro Monopoly, Life, Sorry, Clue (IE)(NO LONGER AVAILABLE)
$4 Hasbro games MQ from Parade Magazine- Monopoly/Sorry
$4 Hasbro games MQ from Parade Magazine- Guess Who
Final total (before tax)= Free plus $1.04 overage for all 6 items!

The tax should be a little more than the overage, so I think this should work. If you try this secenario, PLEASE, let us know if it worked. I plan on giving 2 of these to my own kids at Chirtmas and saving the others for Toys for Tots or Adopt a Family gifts. I love when I can score a major deal and give generously at the same time!

Diaper Deal at Rite-Aid this Week

I have to admit that I am often envious of the great deals at Rite Aid.  We don't usually cover Rite Aid here at 4our2cents since we don't have one nearby (not out of spite! (:). But I had to mention the awesome diaper deal this week.  Even if you don't have a little one in diapers, it might be a great opportunity to buy diapers for a shower gift (see diaper cake idea) or to donate to a shelter/food bank.

New $10 off $10 from JCPenny + Free Shipping on Shoes

JCPenny has put out a new $10 off $10 code: GO4TEN.  This code is valid 9/19- 9/28. It will be great to pair with the free shipping on shoes that is good till the end of the month.  On Saturday I put a cute pair of dress shoes for my daughter in my "cart".  They were on sale for $11.99, which would have made for $1.99 shoes!  However, I went to buy them this morning and they were $19.99!  So I think they raised many prices due to this coupon. Boo! But I am sure you can still find a way to use this great offer.  If you choose not to buy shoes, standard shipping is $5.95 for purchases up to $25.  So find a $10 sale item and pay only the cost to ship.

Will you be taking advantage of this promo code?  What did you get?
