No Coupon Inserts Sunday

Due to the holiday, there will not be any coupon inserts in the newspaper. So use your clipping time to check out all the great printables available right now. The three big printable sites are: coupons.com, smartsource.com and redplum.com. Also don't forget the sites that load coupons on to your shoppers card: cellfire.com, shortcuts.com, kroger.com and pgesaver.com. If you are a member of MyPoints, did you know you can earn points by printing coupons and redeeming them? Click on the "Deals" tab and select "grocery coupons" from the drop down.

You can also use this as an opportunity to go thru your coupons to check for outdated Qs. But don't throw them away! You can donate your expired and/or unused coupons to military families serving over seas. The program is call Overseas Coupons Program (OCP) For more information visit, http://www.ocpnet.org/.

Thanks Hey It's Free!

NICE Site!

I may be behind the game and if you have experience with this site, please post your thoughts but I just discovered www.8coupons.com.
Basically you put a zip code in the search engine and it will spit out deals for you!  The other day I was looking for COSI coupons and found a Buca di Peppo coupon instead.  It just happens to be right next to COSI.  I could save a few dollars by simply adjusting my choice in eateries.  What a great deal!  Check it out and please tell us what you think!

P&G; eSaver and other Loadable Coupons

P&G has brought back their eSaver program.  Load coupons onto your Kroger card for great savings.  And thru the end of October, every coupon you redeem will donate 2 cents to Breast Cancer research. Don't forget to also check out cellfire.com and shortcuts.com for more coupons to load onto your shopper card.

Shopping Victories this Week

I got a few great deals this week that I just have to share.  Two tips to highlight in these deals: 1. always be on the look out for coupons and 2. always check clearance/manager's specials.  My gym was passing out samples of the new Shout Color Catcher.  Naturally I took one.  I found a gem inside!  A $1 off Target coupon for any Shout product.  I paired that with a MQ to get great savings (no one was taking the samples at the gym.  So after 2 weeks I asked if I could have a few more!)  About point 2, managers specials become even even sweeter when paired with a coupon!  The Bob Evans sausage was only 50 cents!  I had a 50 cent MQ (from the Columbus Zoo, see point 1!) that made them free!  Here is the break down:

Target:
Shout- $2.24X4= 8.96
(4) $1 Target Shout (gym sample)
(2) $2/2 MQ Shout (insert)
Total= $.96 for all 4 or $0.24 each!

Fiscars- $1.79
Clearance price= $0.88 each

Marc's
Lysol (special double pack)- $2.15
$1 Lysol (insert)
Total= $1.19 or $0.58 each!

Bob Evans Natural Sausage- $0.50X2= $1
(2) $0.50 Bob Evans Product (flyer when leaving Columbus Zoo)
Total= both FREE

Pillsbury Flaky Sweet Rolls- $1.50
$1 Pillsbury Flaky product (printable)
Total= $0.50

Purex 3in1 Laundry (2 pack)- $1
$1 Purex product (from inside previous product purchase)
Total= FREE

Kroger:
6 lbs 80/20 Ground Beef- $1.99 lbs
Manager's Special Price= $0.90 lbs
Total= $5.40 for 6 lbs of meat!
(I made 2 dozen meatballs and 1 dozen bacon cheeseburger hamburgers and froze it all)

What victories have you had this week?  We want to hear about them!!!

Free 2011 Desk Calendar

Here is your opportunity to get a  free 2011 Planning Calendar from WomensHealth.govin either English or Spanish.  It's the size of a book with one month per 2-page layout.  I found this freebie on Freebies 4 Mom, who says she uses her 2010 free calendar from womenshealth.gov everyday.  I can't wait to see what this looks like.  But I'll have to be patient, mailing begins in December.  What a nice surprise it will be.

Today's Columbus Groupon: Menchie's!

At the end of the school year last year, My son came home with a coupon for a free frozen yogurt at the new Menchie's at Sawmill and Hard roads. What a clever marketing scheme; get the kids hooked and begging for more.  Well today's Groupon should soften the blow of this pricy treat: for $5, you get two 12-oz. frozen yogurt treats at Menchie's Frozen Yogurt, located on Sawmill Road. Menchie's charges 44 cents by the ounce and it dispenses thru self- serve machines.  Any yogurt in excess of 12 ounces must be paid for out-of-ocket.  Check out the Groupon site for more of the fine print.

Have you eaten at Menchie's? What is your favorite flavor?

PineCone Research

Looking for ways to pay for an extra pizza per month?  While you can't get rich with this particular survey company, you will make money for each and every survey.  You earn $3 for each and every survey and the money is sent via check or deposited into a Paypal account after each survey...no waiting to get to a certain threshold before payout.

Check out this link for everything you need to know about PineCone Research.  I've been doing it for about 6 months and I make $12 on average every month.  As the company grows this number could very well go up.
Let us know what you think of Pinecone Research.

New Red Plum Printables

There are some new printable coupons available from Red Plum.  A few that interest me are:

• $1/1 Nutella The Original Hazelnut Spread (13 oz.+)
• $1/2 Cap'n Crunch Cereal
• $1/2 Quaker Life Cereal
• $1/1 Disney or Marvel High-Quality Vitamin Products

Cap'n Crunch and Life are on sale this week at Kroger for $1.98.  I usually like to stay at or under $1 per box for cereal, but $1.48 each(wyb2) isn't too bad.  And coupons for these brands are not easy to come by.  I am also curious about the Nutella.  I have never tried it before, but would like to.  Anyone know where has the best price?
