Barnes & Noble: 1 year of Parents Mag for $1

Here is a great tip my Brother in Law sent me yesterday.  At Barnes & Noble  online you can get a 1 year subscription to Parents Magazine for only $1.  The magazine is on sale for $4.97.  Then use code: K4M8W9D to get it down to just $1.  Parents mag is not only great for their articles, but for the coupons include inside too!  Well worth $1 to check it out or to buy as a give to expecting parents.

Thanks Aaron!

(Not sure on the expiration of this code, and looks like it only works on Parents mag)

Kroger Triple Coupons 3/25-3/28!

What gets a couponista's heart pumping- Triple Coupons! Yeah, Kroger Triples are back! Looks like some Ohio and West Virgina stores should be participating.  But please call your store first to be sure.  This promotion runs through 3/28.

Here is how the Kroger Triple Coupon Promo Works:

Coupons up to and including $0.50 will triple to $1.50. If your store doubles up to $0.99, coupons from $0.51-0.99 will continue to double. If your store does not double over $0.50 that will still be the case. There is no limit on the number of coupons you can use, and Internet printables WILL also triple.

Check this week's match-ups to see what coupons to play. Also remember to check the printables RedPlum, SmartSource and CoCoupons.com. If your store is (or is not) participating, let us know. What coupons will you be using?

Thanks Stretching a Buck!

Mega Swag Bucks Friday!

Today is Friday which means it is Mega Swag Bucks Day! That means Swag Bucks is giving away upwards of 400,000 Swag Bucks today - and you can earn anywhere from 30-1000 for one search.  So get searching!

What are Swag Bucks, exactly? They are electronic bucks that you earn for searching the web - something that most of us do every day right? You can then redeem these for items such as Amazon gift cards, Starbucks gift cards, Southwest Airlines credits plus more. Further increase your chances of earning bucks by referring friends, using the Swag Bucks toolbar, following the Swag Bucks Twitter stream, reading the Swag Bucks Facebookpage and blog.  And their newest addition, "watching" Swag Bucks TV on your tool bar.

Let us know if you win any big bills!  I got a 36er last Friday!

Don't forget that you can also earn swag bucks by buying your Groupon via Swag Bucks (from 80-315 swag bucks depending on the Groupon offered).

$10 Walmart Gift Card via All You!

Did any of you score the $5 Walmart gift card deal the last time ALL YOU offered it? We did and my husband is at Walmart right now putting it to good use! We are getting a landline phone for $1.70 a month through Magic Jack. In a few weeks I'll do a review to let you know how we like it. After many years without a landline, we've decided it would be safer to have one that is used solely for emergencies (or if I can't find my cell phone!)

Here's a great deal from All You! Head out to Walmart and buy 2 boxes of Frosted Flakes cereal (family size) priced at $3.50 or 2 Cottenelle 12 pack double rolls priced at $6.97 each. Or one of each item. The best deal is to buy the Frosted Flakes because that totals $7 without coupons or use this (printed twice) and your total will be $5. That makes this a $5 money maker.  Don't forget to go to All YOU and print out this MIR for a $10 gift card to Walmart! Hurry as supplies may be limited!

Thanks Deal Seeking Mom!

**Update: We did get the cereal for $2.50 a box after coupons which makes a $5 MM. Then my husband went to Meijer to fill a prescription with a coupon for $10 GC when you fill. He ended up $3.41 ahead on that one so that was $8.41 in our pockets after a trip to Meijer and Walmart. How often does that happen? Love a deal!

New 10 Point Gifts to Grow Code

Here is a new 10 point Pampers Gift to Grow code.

Also check out our post on being a House Party host.  I just applied for a Bic House Party this morning.

Host a House Party Get Goodies!

We want to tell you about another  great program called House Party.  What is it?  Well, a House Party is thousands of parties across the country, hosted by people like us. Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as a Kraft brand) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House Party lets you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

I recently participated in a Philadelphia Cooking Creme House Party.  I received an amazing party pack filled with free products for me (including an amazing new skillet) and great swag for my friends.  What's the catch, nothing.  Obviously you have to do the party and they like you to provide feedback via a survey and posting on their site.  But basically all the sponsors want from you, is to share their product with your friends.

Want to get in the action?  Here are the latest House Party Applications.  They are looking for specific demographics, so you will not be accept for all that you apply for (I think I am 1 for 5 so far).  Try your luck!  If you get accepted, be sure to come back here and share about your experience and send pics to brag about your swag!

The winter booklet expires this month, but it looks like this booklet has an extended expiration date: 7/31/12 (WOW, over a year!).  Of course these would be great in Easter Baskets, Birthday Cards or just to have on stand-by in your purse.

They are only available to buy at certain locations.  Although I was able to redeem them anywhere.  And it is nice the coupons say one per person- since I have 3 kids! Let us know if you find these at a location near you!

Here is what you get:

3 Free Small Cones
3 Free Apple Juice OR White Milk Jug
3 Free Hamburgers

Part II, New Post Series Grocery Gleaning: Getting Started

So we have shared with you the vision we have for a new post series called, "Grocery Gleaning".  Each week we will list Free or nearly Free items are are perfect for donating to a local food bank, pantry or shelter.  We hope to run our first post the week of March 28th.  But you don't have to wait till then to get started.  Every few months I purge my "stockpile".  Often I have found an awesome deal and bought a bunch and brought it home to see I already had 10 of that item. The above picture is my latest purge.  These are items I already had a plethora of or my family decided they don't like (all unopened of course).  Could your stockpile loose a few pounds?

Also let me mention one deal this week that exemplifies the kind of deals we want to highlight in this series.  The last few weeks Kroger has been running a mega event.  Buy 10 of select items and receive $5 off your order.  Ronzoni has been free through this offer, so I stocked up.  In last week's trip I bought 10 boxes, 8 for my family to keep and 2 to donate.  I plan on getting a few more this week and splitting the keep/give amount again. This week's money maker deal on reach toothbrushes at Walgreens is another one perfect for donations. Mid-Ohio Food Bank has come up with Most Wanted List. Some of these items include: Bisquick mixes, oatmeal, pasta, canned meats, canned veggies/fruit (in juice). and some items specific to kids like: mac & cheese, multi-grain cereal bars, and peanut butter.  So these will be high on our radar once we start the posts.

Last, decide where and when you are going to make your donations.  In each Grocery Gleaning post we will include a Feeding America widget that will tell you the contact information for a local food bank.  Find out where they have drop off times and locations.  For us, Worthington Libraries and the Worthington Rec Center have drop boxes for the Worthington Food Pantry.  I am going to aim for once a month.  Put it on your calendar and get your family involved.  I showed my kids our overflowing pantry and linen closets and talked about how blessed we are. Then showed them the 3 bags we filled and still had full cupboards.  I think even the 4 year olds understood they were doing a good thing giving these things away.

What do you think of this concept?  Let us know! And if you see a deal that fits the bill, be sure to share it with us. The goal is to encourage one another to give out of our abundance.

Sorry for the late post on Kroger this week. Thankfully the March into Savings Event (don't forget the instant win game too!) is running again this week. Buy 10 participating products, get $5 off. For a full list of details visit Stretching a Buck.

I do want to give a warning about these personalized, stamped jewelry deals.  I recently had a bad experience in ordering a stamped jewelry piece.  So just be sure to really investigate the site and their reviews first.  Just because they are on a Daily Dael site doesn't mean they are the best out there.  Also look for any kind of satisfaction guarantee or return policy.  You may have your hearts set on a fab piece, only to be disappointed.  If anyone has experience with this company: DesignsByJanessa, please let us know!  And if you buy this Save please let us know how it turned out!  Awesome, I hope!
